Customer Privacy

1. What we collect when you order

To place an order you provide your name, email address, and phone number, plus a delivery address if you choose delivery. We also keep the contents of your order, the notes you add at checkout, and the order's status history so the seller can prepare and hand it off.

Your payment card is collected and processed by Square, not by MadeNear. We never see or store your full card number — we only receive confirmation that the payment succeeded and the last digits needed for receipts and refunds.

2. How your information is used

• To prepare, deliver, and support your order — including the emails that confirm it and update you as it is prepared, ready, or delivered.
• To let you view your order history when you sign in to a storefront with your email.
• To process refunds or cancellations back to your original payment method.
• To keep the service safe — preventing fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your checkout details for advertising. Sellers may only use your information to fulfill and support your order unless you separately agree to something more.

3. Who sees it

The seller you order from sees what they need to fulfill your order: your name, contact details, order contents, notes, and delivery address if applicable. Square processes your payment under its own privacy notice. We use service providers for hosting and email delivery, bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not share your information with other sellers or third parties for their own marketing.

4. Your choices

You can ask a seller or MadeNear to correct your contact details on an order. You can request access to, or deletion of, your information by emailing team@madenear.net — we may need to keep records that the law requires (for example, completed payment records).

5. Retention and security

Order records are kept as long as needed for the seller's bookkeeping, tax, and dispute obligations, then deleted or anonymized. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
